IRR: A Success Story
The Department of Transportation's Volpe Center features th Iraqi Railways project implemented on the ground by Al Qarya Group in their quarterly newsletter Horizons.
Al Qarya Group was awarded a $1.65 million contract for mechanical and electrical refurbishment services to the Kirkuk Unified Water Treatment Plant.
The contract forms part of Bechtel/USAID`s Iraq Infrastructure Reconstruction Program and on this project Al Qarya Group is its primary subcontractor. The work to be undertaken includes refurbishment of the clarifier bridge, replacement of the filter bed sand,work on standby generators, the chlorination building and high lift pumping station.
Al Qarya Group was the sole contractor performing this contract.
