The task of removing and disposing of municipal solid waste and other waste accumulated at ten open dumpsites within the city of Baghdad formed the main aim of this $3,294,750 contract funded by the Coalition Provisional Authority. To enable a smooth operation, each of the ten 675 m2 sites required the construction of concrete pads and a pusher wall.

Al Qarya Group was the sole contractor performing this task.
