Asiacell Award Al Qarya Group Turnkey Construction and Supply of GSM Sites, Shelters, and Towers

Bechtel Awards Al Qarya Group Mechanical & Electrical Refurbishment Services for the Kirkuk unified water treatment plant
Al Qarya Group was awarded a $1.65 million contract for mechanical and electrical refurbishment services to the Kirkuk unified water treatment plant.
The contract forms part of Bechtel/USAID's Iraq Infrastructure Reconstruction Program and on this project Al Qarya Group is its primary subcontractor. The work to be undertaken includes refurbishment of the clarifier bridge, replacement of the filter bed sand,work on standby generators, the chlorination building and high lift pumping station.
Al Qarya Group was the sole contractor performing this task.
Al Qarya Group Awarded Repair & Reconstruction of Aski Mosul Water Treatment Facility
Al Qarya Group was awarded a $3 million contract for mechanical and electrical refurbishment services to the Aski Mosul Water Treatment Facility.
The work to be undertaken includes supply and installation of the following equipment: 2 300 m3/h water pumps, 2 200m3/h water pumps, filter media of 180 m3 of gravel, filter media of 180m3 of filter sand, alum-sulf. dosing pumps, 80 gate valves of different sizes, and a new MCC. Excavation of existing filter media for 4 pressure sand filters. Cleaning and sterilizing of 2 clarifiers.
Al Qarya Group was the sole contractor performing this task.

Al Qarya Group: Iraq's Al Mat Bridge Re-opens! March 3, 2004
'Al Qarya did a great job and effectively met the reconstruction challenges the damaged bridge presented,' said Ron Ramsay, Bechtel's project manager for Iraq bridges.
Al Mat is located on Highway 10 that carries over 3,000 trucks daily, bringing humanitarian aid and goods to Baghdad and other Iraqi cities from Jordan. Both bridge spans suffered extensive damage during the conflict and have been closed since early last year.
Al Qarya employed 40 field personnel at the peak of repairs, and worked under Bechtel supervision to complete the six-month reconstruction project. The subcontractor demolished the unusable section of the bridge and reconstructed the downed span with precast prestressed beams and a composite bridge deck.
Al Qarya purchased the prestressed beams from an Iraqi fabricator in Baghdad. Al Qarya also repaired concrete columns and beams that were damaged during the conflict, and replaced or repaired all damaged handrails and lighting.
'This was an especially rewarding project because it directly benefits the Iraqi people, and the work was performed by Iraqi firms,' said Ron Ramsay.

Al Qarya Group is the primary subcontractor of Bechtel / USAID's Iraq Infrastructure Reconstruction Program under contract No. 24910-2013-SSU-ESMI-003.
Description of work: Remove 3 of 3.0 MVA MVA generator set, procure approved replacement generator set include all connection and accouterment require for the installed, installation of low and high voltage cables and cable tray with cover, Technical commissioning of generator set and auxiliary system.
